AT&T Donates $400,000+ to Nonprofits Serving Veterans in California

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 7, 2019 – At AT&T*, we’re committed to serving those who serve. We’re honoring that commitment in California by donating more than $400,000 to 28 veteran-focused nonprofits statewide.

These contributions are part of AT&T’s ongoing support for our veterans. In 2013, we pledged to hire 20,000 veterans by 2020. We’re proud to announce we’ve achieved that mission, but our work is not done.

“AT&T remains dedicated to helping Veterans transition to civilian life,” said Rhonda Johnson, president of AT&T California. “We’re honored to support these nonprofits as they continue their important work of serving our nation’s heroes in California.”

Among the nonprofits receiving a donation is Veterans Village of San Diego, a veterans advocacy organization that specializes in serving homeless military veterans. Today, our local employees are volunteering at Veterans Village to serve lunch to homeless veterans in San Diego.

“We want to thank AT&T for their support of active military personnel, veterans and their families across California, and especially here in San Diego County,” said Kimberly Mitchell, President & CEO, Veterans Village of San Diego. “The contribution will help our organization provide needed services to at-risk military veterans throughout the County of San Diego.”
