AT&T Launches Text-to-Give Campaign Supporting Veterans and Communities Affected by Flooding and Natural Disasters
Campaign benefits veteran-led disaster relief organization Team Rubicon and relief efforts including Operation Super Genius in response to Coyote Creek Flood in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA Mar. 2, 2017 — AT&T* launched a new text-to-give campaign benefiting Team Rubicon to help support veteran volunteer relief operations following the Coyote Creek flood in San Jose, as well as other relief and response efforts in communities affected by storms and natural disasters. Team Rubicon unites the skills of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams when disaster strikes. Veteran volunteers assisting in Operation Super Genius are currently conducting damage assessments, muck out operations, and debris removal in coordination with local and state authorities in San Jose communities affected by the Coyote Creek flood.

Donations collected during the text-to-give campaign will benefit Team Rubicon, the veteran-led global disaster recovery organization offering veterans a chance to continue their service by helping those impacted by disasters. Wireless customers who wish to provide financial support can text-to-give in two easy steps. Donations sent via text-to-give are added to a customer’s monthly wireless bill. In addition to launching the Text-to-Give campaign benefiting Team Rubicon, AT&T has also deployed disaster response units at James Lick High School and Evergreen High School to provide free charging and assist those impacted by the Coyote Creek flooding.
